Rich received a B.S.E.E. degree from City College of New York in 1969 and an M.S.E.E. degree from New York University in 1972. Rich was an electronics engineer with Reeves Instruments Corporation from 1969 through 1970, where he designed servo control systems for antenna drives. From 1970 through 1977, Rich was an electronics engineer with Astrosystems, Inc., where he designed programmable AC power supplies, resolver to digital converters, encoders and limit switches. In 1977, Rich joined Telephonics Corp., where he designed analog and digital circuitry used in the Boeing 747 and Lockheed L1011 multiplexed service and entertainment systems. In 1978, Rich was a founding member of the team that formed TLSI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telephonics Corp. dedicated to the development of custom integrated circuits. Rich served in the capacity of senior mixed signal integrated circuit design engineer as well as the positions of Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer through 2009. With over 30 years of IC design and development experience, Rich has worked on both military and commercial devices covering a wide field of applications including communications, automotive, security, games, memory and military components. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
