MAURO J. CAPUTI, PH.D.
 

Mauro received a B.S.E.E. degree, summa cum laude, in 1981 from Manhattan College, and an M.S.E.E. degree in 1984 and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1991 from Virginia Tech. Mauro has been an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Hofstra University since 1998. Mauro was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Hofstra University from 1992 through 1998, an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of the Pacific from 1991 through 1992, and Instructor of Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech from 1984 through 1991. Mauro was a Research Engineer at Northrop-Grumman from 2002 through 2009, a Research Engineer at the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center at the Lexington School/Center for the Deaf from 1999 through 2001, an Algorithm Design Engineer at Algometrix from 1998 through 1999, an Algorithm Design Engineer at Comverse from 1996 through 1997, an Electronic Circuit Designer at Rockustics in 1993, and a Research Assistant at Science Applications International Corporation from 1987 through 1990. Mauro has presented at conferences and published numerous papers. Mauro is a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu honor societies, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Theta Tau professional engineering fraternity, and the American Society for Engineering Education.
