Joe
received a B.S.E.E. degree, magna cum laude, from Polytechnic University
in 1986, an M.S.E.E. degree from the University of Southern California
in 1988, and M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of California
at Los Angeles in 1993. Joe was a Member of the Technical Staff and a
Staff Engineer in the Space and Communications Group of Hughes Aircraft
Company from 1986 through 1992, working on satellite communication systems.
While at UCLA Law School, Joe was an editor of the UCLA Law Review, and
worked as a law clerk at Poms, Smith, Lande & Rose. Joe has since
been associated with Davis Hoxie Faithfull & Hapgood in New York
City, and Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein et al. on Long Island. Joe practices
primarily in the areas of patent and trademark prosecution, opinions,
licensing and litigation, and his practice involves a wide variety of
electrical and computer-related technologies. He is a member of the New
York bar, is registered to practice before the United States Patent and
Trademark Office, and is admitted to practice in the Federal Courts in
the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and in the Court of Appeals
for the Federal Circuit. Joe is a member of the New York and American
Intellectual Property Law Associations, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers, and the Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.
